What size is this dress/blouse/skirt?
Because there is really no modern size standard (what one may think of as a size 8 may be a size 6 to someone else depending on the brand you are used to wearing), I prefer not to give modern size equivalents. In order to get the best fit when purchasing clothing online, it is best to use garment measurements instead. PLEASE do not just guess your measurements. What does it mean if an item is on hold?
Please note that we are no longer offering holds of any type.
Can I see additional views of an item?
Links to additional item views are listed within the item description. Generally included are bodice details and rear views. When necessary, links to condition photos are also included within the condition description. If you require additional condition/detail views of a particular item please feel free to let us know.
How often do you update?
Availability updates (sold, etc... ) are done several times a day EXCEPT on weekends (the office closes at noon on Friday and does not reopen until Monday). Inventory updates are generally done on a weekly basis. To see the update schedule, please click here. Most updates happen between 3-5pm (Eastern)... items sell very quickly so it is a good idea to check the site as close to this time as possible.

Do you take requests?
Although we love to help people find the perfect dress for a special event, we are currently receiving such a large volume of requests every day that we are unable to fill them all. If you would like to send a request, please feel free to do so, however you may still want to watch for updates. When sending a request please be VERY specific... include your exact measurements and specific preferences (colors, styles, eras, necklines, length, etc...).
Do you buy?
YES!!! We generally buy formal wear from the 1920's to the 1970's, casual wear and new/old stock eyewear. Also, we are always on the look out for terrific designer items (Dior, Mainbocher, Hattie Carnegie, Galanos, Travilla, Adrian, Traina-Norell, Schiaparelli, Lilli Ann, Gernreich, etc...). At this time we are NOT buying shoes, hats, costume jewelry, scarves or hankies.

In this email please be as specific as possible (include how many items you have, sizes, colors, condition, price, etc...). Please be prepared to provide pictures, however DO NOT send them with your initial email.
Can you tell me how much my purse, hat, dress, etc... is worth?
Unfortunately, many different factors are involved in valuing an item. It is quite difficult to take into account all of these factors when valuing an item via email. Therefore, at this time we do not do appraisals.
Can you please send me a print catalog?
Vintageous is a strictly online business. Inventory availability changes so rapidly that a print catalog would be out of date within hours, therefore there is no print catalog.
Where is Vintageous located?
Vintageous is located in Southeastern Virginia. At this time Vintageous is a strictly online business and is not open for walk in traffic.
Do you have a return policy?
Yes. Please see the policy below:
Return confirmation numbers are no longer required. If you need to make a return, please send your item via INSURED USPS Priority Mail (if you do not insure your return and something happens to the package, Vintageous will not be held responsible) to:

Returns must be received within 7 days of the date your item was delivered to qualify for a refund. There will no longer be ANY exceptions.
Items received from 7-14 days after the delivery date will qualify only for a merchandise credit from Vintageous. Returns received after 14 days will be NOT be accepted. International orders, please see our international order return policy.
To qualify for refunds or credits, all returns must arrive in the same condition (no rips, smells, deodorant residue, stains, repairs, alterations, etc...) as the day the items were shipped and all hang tags must be intact.
Refunds will be processed within 5 business days. If you purchased the item via credit card, your refund will be sent via credit card. If you purchased the item via PayPal, the refund will be sent to your PayPal account. If you purchased the item by check or money order, your refund will be made by check.
Shipping charges are not refundable.

How do I order an item?
To order an item, please use the "add to cart" buttons provided for each item to add an item to your cart. Once you do so, you can "check out" using the "check out" button. During checkout you will be provided with a secure order form to enter your shipping/payment information. Do you ship overseas?

I am unable to get details on the formal wear and/or eyewear pages. What can I do?
Recently we have had a lot of inquiries about this. In most cases (though not all) this has to do with your pop up blocker settings. If you click on a dress photo on the main formal wear page to get full details on a dress an item detail page should pop up (same for eyewear pages). If nothing pops up, please check the settings on your pop up blocker. You may need to change them in order to view these pages. If you are still unable to view the pop up item detail pages after adjusting your pop up blocker settings, please email us and we'll try our best to help troubleshoot the problem for you.
